Dear Friends,

This month’s guidance from the Akashic Records has me thinking of Robert Smithson’s Earthwork sculpture Spiral Jetty. When it was built in 1970 on the shore of Utah’s Great Salt Lake, the area was experiencing a drought. The 1,500-foot-long-coil sculpture of black basalt was visible for only two years before it was submerged by rising waters. Earthworks are created with entropy and change in mind, but this piece had completely disappeared.

It wasn’t until two decades later, in 1993, that the Jetty resurfaced. And when it did, it was more striking than ever. Due to the water’s high concentration of salt, crystals coated the volcanic rock and the sculpture appeared a bright, sparkling white against the red waters of the lake. Since then, the sculpture is sometimes visible and sometimes submerged, depending on the water level and the time of year. While it is out of sight, and as we wait to see it again, it is perpetually transforming and becoming something new. It is in an active state of generation.

Sitting and waiting, sitting and waiting. We are always sitting and waiting. Waiting for the other shoe to drop. Waiting for the betterment of humanity. Waiting in patience, waiting in impatience. The period of waiting is a blessing and a curse.

In that space, there is a recognition of time passing or not passing quickly enough. There’s a grasp on life that is not your own. You are waiting and not living. You are feeling as if you have no control over your life. When truly, you have all the control at your fingertips. The timing is not right. The right time will come. I will know when that time arrives. Yes, there is a divine timing. But all things are available to you at all times. It’s not so much that the timing isn’t right, it’s that you yourself are not in alignment with that timing and you must bring yourself into the place of alignment.

There is a preparation that is needed in human terms. You must bring yourself to a certain point of orchestration and alignment for things to come into place. A building of your inner self. An understanding of your inner self. When we speak of alignment, it is a stepping into your power so that you are open to receive the next step.

It all looks linear in human terms, but it is all swirling around you—spirals and circles of possibilities surrounding you. Though in your dimension, it’s a linear walkway (it helps you to keep track of what came before and where you are now, so that you might chart a course and see your progress and understand how to move into the next chapters).

Waiting is simply a falsity. Align with your inner power. Align with the timetable that you wish to be on. Or more simply, connect within to the learning and understanding that you wish to embody for the next step. Look inward and ask for that which needs to be shown to you, so that the next embodiment might take place.

There is no waiting here. There is active embodiment. There is active pursuit of self. There is active strength and connection. Convert the waiting into active inner generation. Perceive of this as an active state versus a passive one. The movability of life will become apparent to you in new ways.

We offer an active state. Walk in a straight line and as you do so, claim your history, where you’ve been recently, where you are now, and where you envision going, what you envision creating. How you have changed. How you would like to grow. Now repeat the same process, but move in circles. Create waves of spiral movement. Feel the difference in freedom of movement—the openness with which you might share more with yourself when you are not focused on a straight line.

The energy of Moldavite is embodied by that visual transformation of Spiral Jetty’s black volcanic rock into shimmering white. Being submerged in order to resurface as a sparkly new wonder is its modus operandi. In astrological terms, Moldavite would be a Scorpio, ruled by the planet Pluto. In Tarot terms, it would be the Tower. It’s a catalyzing stone toward your evolution and growth. It has a purgative effect that might not be pretty, but deep personal excavation is a part of choosing to work with Moldavite. Just remember it reflects that which you most need to see, honor, integrate, or release—it’s all you though, and there’s nothing to be afraid of within yourself. It activates the heart’s supreme intelligence and, in that way, Moldavite is a powerful teacher. Fall back into the experience, simply surrender, and it will be a true adventure!

(FYI, you might start slowly with this stone—acclimating to longer periods of time sitting with it. No need to jump off the cliff when there’s a staircase… unless you want to, of course. :)

I recently found an old Zoom recording from a business coaching call I had with my mentor and teacher Samaya K. Aster (aka Naisha Ahsian). I had just gotten certified in Crystal Resonance Therapy. I was bright eyed and oh-so-eager to have a robust and thriving practice. I wanted the clients! The group workshops! I wanted to share all the exciting things! Promote! Get out there! Watching the recording again, I could see the overflowing enthusiasm in my younger self’s eyes. She wanted it all to arrive now, now, now. And she also needed to wait, wait, wait.

What I struggled to embrace at the time was that we grow into our work, our businesses, our practices, our relationships. I thought I would be seen as a failure if I didn’t make it all happen at once. Yet, if it all arrived at once, I wouldn’t have known how to handle everything. Like a mountain climber moving into higher elevation and thinner air, I was being asked to acclimate with every step. I could view it impatiently as waiting or as active inner generation.

It would have taken a lot of pressure off my shoulders if I had relaxed into the process of self-growth and how my practice was evolving. At the time, I thought I was doing it wrong or needed to try harder or change something. But I was exactly where I needed to be. Like the Spiral Jetty— submerged at times—I was transforming. Each turn deeper on the spiral, I was aligning with a vision and my power.

One of the visions I’ve been holding is to gather in a fun, supportive community where we can learn about ourselves through the Akashic Records. Four years in the making, the first group gathering of The Know-where Club is this Thursday, June 6th at the magical & vibrant North Node in Kingston, NY.
